The name of the website, The Evil Jam comes from the working title of the Genesis song The Waiting Room.

During the writing and recording sessions for the Genesis double album The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway (which has since been released in Surround Sound) Genesis were jamming during which an improvised song came about, and they gave it the working title of The Evil Jam.

This is partly the reason why we chose The Evil Jam as a name for the website.

Another reason could be that when a Musician starts to hang around other Musicians and they play together it is effectivly a Jam session......Who's to say that such a Jam session couldnt create something wicked or EVIL.

Something more to note, their was a vinyl single released of the song The Carpet Crawlers around the 18th of April 1975 and for some reason instead of The Waiting Room printed on the artwork the working title of The Evil Jam was printed in brackets (The Evil Jam being the b side) Charisma number CB251.
